NEXT STEPS

AT THE JOURNEY, WE BELIEVE THAT GROWING PEOPLE CHANGE. WHEREVER YOU ARE IN LIFE - YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A NEXT STEP TO TAKE AS YOUR GROW IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD.

sO, WHAT IS YOUR NEXT STEP? We want to help YOU tAKE THAT NEXT STEP.

BECOMING A FOLLOWER OF JESUS:

The only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him is to trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for you and repent—turn from your sins. We urge you to take this step of faith today. To do that, simply talk to God—this is called praying—and tell Him you believe in His Son. We suggest a prayer like this:

“Dear Lord Jesus,I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.In your name, amen.”

If you just prayed that prayer and accepted Jesus as your savior, we want to know about it.

Take a moment to fill out the form below so we can celebrate with you and send you some next steps for your spiritual jounrey!

baptism:

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

SERVING WITH A TEAM:

Our culture defines greatness as fame, fortune, recognition, and personal accolades. But Jesus presented an entirely different perspective and understanding of what it means to be great. In fact, He went so far as to say that if you want to become great, you must become the least of all. It is through serving – being used – that we mature and experience real growth in our relationship with Christ. It’s serving that makes us more like Jesus.

It’s for that reason at THE JOURNEY, we unashamedly challenge each person to serve on a team by using their gifts, talents, personality, energy and passions so that we can continue to help people find and follow Jesus.

Serving on a team is not something we want from you, but something we want for you!

 giving:

Why do we tithe? The Bible says, The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives. (Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB) Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.
